Flying away bird

Staying at home during Augost is horrible, I always forget this fact when we plan to take days off during September. It is just no time for concetrating, it is not the time of doing anything.
Step by step, slow steps, I had been stitching another sumer bird.
It was already a week ago but as I think slowoly lately, I forgot to mention that I was interviewed by Sharona at her blog. You can read it here.

Summer bird

My new summer bird

No summer schools for socks dolls

Socks creature junior on his summer vacation, singing his famous tillalay tillily tilloy...

song. It is a special song for holidays.

I just felt the same this week when I had time off from my weekly workshops, unfortunately tomorrow I had to teach a summer workshop.

The creatures will stay at home, lucky they there are no summer schools for socks dolls.

Lazy crature in the sun

New socks creature

Lazy one.

Colorful too,

When the sun came out he is taking off his shirt,

and get tan.

He is now listed at my etsy dolls store.

Summer and the dolls making

Sometimes it is so difficult to wake up at mornings, it's became so hot and humid here as it is every summer, we are just longing to September.
Even going to the grocery shop, a two minutes walk becomes such a difficult task, that I think twice if it is really necessary. Unfortunately I do have to go, to tech for example, or to buy brown threads which I got run out with, then when I am back i feel that part of me was just evaporated.

Staying home is better, and now I am making this new socks doll, she will be sent to Belgium at the end of the month to participate in a group exhibition "Suddenly Last Summer" organized by Art27, a Belgian independent art cooperative.
At least my doll would spent few days in a nicer weather.
