Raven and me

The embroidery is coming along very slowly, but here I have a few more new stitches to share,

as well as new raven which was sewn last week.

Lady Cocorico#2

During the last few weeks, all of my energies were focused on creating, installing and producing everything for the “Lady Cocorico” , and I couldn’t post much about it. Last Friday, just before the opening on Saturday night, when the exhibition was finally installed, I took some photos of it. It will be exhibiting at Gam Gallery (which is a hairdressing salon, and a concert venue as well) until November 25.

Two creatures with portrait and raven

The little raven was curious to meet the new creature couple who joined the family only yesterday.

They hung a portrait of an old man on the wall, but they said nothing about it.

Mr. creature the Raven and the Cat

The first member of the new creature family to be made.

A new armchair was made as well

And it was quickly occupied.

But as soon as the creature sat down to rest, weird voices were heard from the backyard.

It was the cat.

At the same time, from the door Mr. Creature forgot to close, a raven came in.

It is not very comfortable to sit with a raven on your back, Mr. Creature wondered to himself.

The cat had a solution.

The girl and the bird

I made this newspaper and tape model, in order to use it for designing a pattern for new bird doll.

When the pattern was done, I sewed a muslin model, but it didn't look too good...
I fixed the pattern and sewed another one, which is looking much better.
Using the new pattern, I sewed this bird from Gal's old sweatshirt; for a while, it sat waiting on my desk,
while I was busy with another doll I have been working on lately.
